In late 2009, Miley Cyrus recorded a cover of the Poison song Every Rose Has Its Thorn in collaboration with Bret Michaels. The track was produced by John Shanks. Miley Cyrus plans to take a break from recording music after releasing her next album in hopes of developing an "edgier" sound.

Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. The students at NIDA were classically trained in the British-theater tradition rather than in preparation for screen acting. As students, Gibson and actress Judy Davis played the leads in Romeo and Juliet, and Mel Gibson played the role of Queen Titania in an experimental production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Anne Hathaway
In 2004, Anne Hathaway could not take a role in The Phantom of the Opera, because the production schedule of the film overlapped with The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, which she was contractually obligated to make. Disney began production on The Princess Diaries 2 in early 2004, and it was released in August of that year. The film opened to negative reviews, but commissioned $95.1-million against a $40-million budget.
Amanda Seyfried
In 2003, Amanda Seyfried auditioned to play the mean-girl role of Regina George in the Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan; the role eventually went to Rachel McAdams, but the producers of the film selected Seyfried to play one of Regina's two dim-witted "Plastic" friends and sidekicks, Karen. The film was a box-office success, earning over $129 million in its theatrical run. Amanda Seyfried's performance in the film earned her, along with Lohan and McAdams, an MTV Movie Award in the category of "Best On-Screen Team."
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys released her first studio album, Songs in A Minor, in June 2001. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold 236,000 copies in its first week. The album sold over 6.2 million copies in the United States, where it was certified six times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It went on to sell over 12 million copies worldwide, establishing Alicia Keys' popularity both inside and outside the United States, where she became the best-selling new artist and best-selling R&B artist of 2001. The album's lead single, "Fallin'", spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album's second single, "A Woman's Worth", peaked at number three on the same chart. The following year, the album was reissued as Remixed & Unplugged in A Minor, which included eight remixes and seven unplugged versions of the songs from the original.

According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, Madonna has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. Madonna is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the 20th century, and the second top-selling female artist in the United States, behind Barbra Streisand, with 64 million certified albums.
Zac Efron
In 2002, Zac Efron began to appear in guest roles on several television series, including Firefly, ER, and The Guardian. Zac Efron portrayed Cameron Bale on the now-cancelled WB series Summerland. Originally introduced as a recurring character, Zac Efron became a regular cast member on the show in the second season in 2004, starring opposite the likes of Kay Panabaker, Lori Loughlin and Jesse McCartney. Since appearing in Summerland, Zac Efron has also had guest roles on the shows CSI: Miami, NCIS (TV series), The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Replacements.
Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato was born in Dallas, Texas to Patrick Lovato and Dianna Bonheur Hart De La Garza. Demi Lovato has an older sister, Dallas, and a younger half sister, Madison De La Garza. Her mother was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and country recording artist; her father moved to New Mexico after their marriage ended in 1994. Demi Lovato is of Mexican, Italian, and Irish ancestry.
Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt began his acting career with television guest appearances, including a role on the CBS soap opera Dallas in 1987. Brad Pitt later gained recognition as the cowboy hitchhiker who seduces Geena Davis's character in the 1991 road movie Thelma & Louise. Brad Pitt's first leading roles in big-budget productions came with A River Runs Through It (1992) and Interview with the Vampire (1994). Brad Pitt was cast opposite Anthony Hopkins in the 1994 drama Legends of the Fall, which earned him his first Golden Globe nomination.
